WLS Radio is one of the oldest operating radio station that is still broadcasting live from Belgium. It came to existence after some test broadcasts beginning in May 1981. The meaning of the name is West Local Foundation. Ad Roberts , Peter de Vries , Ferry Maat , Maarten de Jongh , Nico Jansma , Ton van Dijk , Norbert ea, Willy Lee started as a strong team and WLS became extremely popular in no time.
