Radio Amizade 89.1 FM from Flores da Cunha began its activities in July 2006, after seven years of work by a group of dedicated founders. At first, the station was called RS News and later Pop Show and finally Radio Amizade. The first signal was broadcast at 6:16 pm on July 28, 2006. The station is one of the arms of the Fundacao Cultural Vale Veneto – Funvale, its sponsor, and works with the purpose of disseminating and keeping alive the culture, traditions and customs of its people, in addition to bringing quality information to its community. Radio Amizade 89.1 FM programming grid reserves spaces for different cultural and religious manifestations, varied musical genres, space for journalism and educational and community programs. It also develops social action activities aimed at the good of the community in which it operates.
