KTNG 860 AM started like all ideas; in a basement where its founder had done everything else in both commercial and public broadcasting. It wasn’t until 1993 that community affairs/journalism was stripped from the lower community in south Los Angeles, leaving it to the subjective bias of affiliated media. Sadly, it took the sacrifice of one, to make our current commitment to socio-political investigative journalism, local art and public affairs coverage, more in a determination to expand the idea to other countries where the voiceless need a voice.
