Radio Recifolia is a well-known annual street carnival and music event that takes place in Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil. It’s a popular celebration featuring music, dance, and vibrant parades that attract both locals and tourists. Radio Recifolia was an out-of-season carnival that took place on Av. Boa Viagem, Recife, from 1993 to 2003. During these 10 years, the party drew crowds swayed by Northeastern rhythms. Unfortunately, due to political interest (the party was created by Cadoca, and Mayor Joo Paulo of PT ended the party) and complaints from the local population that the party caused noise pollution in the 4 days that it took place, it would put an end to the only carnival out of season in Recife.
