The thought for the KREM Radio station began in mid 1979 while Rufus X and I were going by New Orleans. There was a New Orleans disk jockey I loved, by the name of Sister Love, and one day Rufus and his cousin, Sam Wiley, who was our host, demonstrated to me the building where the radio station which highlighted Sister Love was found. It was very much an unobtrusive, one level structure, much littler than the three story Albert Cattouse Building from where the Belize government syndication station – Radio Belize – was telecast.
