WRES FM is a radio station that aims to empower and improve the lives of People of Color and low-wealth communities in Asheville, North Carolina through music and information. It covers topics such as job readiness, financial wellness, health and wellness awareness, and entrepreneurship. WRES is the result of a vision by John Hayes, Sophie Dixon, and the Empowerment Resource Center to create a small but powerful radio station that could heal and transform the community.
