On April 14, 2006, FM 100 was terminated, with the Smooth Jazz name and format moving to the 100.1 frequency. The former home of Smooth Jazz, 92.3, began simulcasting Freedom 104.7, which was re branded as Freedom 92.3 (and airing on both 92.3 and 104.7.) The Freedom simulcast on 92.3 and 104.7 lasted for two weeks; the simulcast ended on May 1, 2006, with 104.7 going with Classic Hits as 104.7 The Eagle (WTHG) and Variety Hits continuing on 92.3 as Freedom 923 (WSGA.)
