Throughout 1944, KRCC Fm began from the basement of Bemis Hall as a two room public radio with available system. KRCC FM began over the air broadcasting within April of 1951 as first non commercial educational Radio station in the state of Colorado. These days, KRCC operates which has a unique collaboration of broadcast professionals, individuals, and community volunteers specialized in providing their target audience throughout southern Colorado the most beneficial programming that public radio can offers. Students then took over the extra curricular operation of KRCC FM by having an appointed faculty counselor. The station seek to improve the caliber of life in The southern part of Colorado and Upper New Mexico with this commitment to the actual core values of Colorado College and also by advancing open media through fresh new categories like news, information, tunes, culture and nonprofit support.
