KGLT Radio is well-known for presenting a wide variety of unique shows and music in a format-free setting. Prior to the introduction of a National Public Radio affiliate in Bozeman, the local station transmitted a variety of public programs. However, it was never officially affiliated with NPR. The station broadcasts a limited selection of public radio programs from NPR and Public Radio International. These include This American Life, Mountain Stage, and New Dimensions Radio.
