Charles Hardin Holley, referred to expertly as Buddy Holly, was an American artist lyricist who was a focal and spearheading figure of mid-1950s rock and roll. He was brought into the world in Lubbock, Texas, to a melodic family during the Great Depression, and figured out how to play guitar and sing close by his kin.
