CKNA Information

CKNA Community Radio Inc. was incorporated on July 19, 1984 and has been a member of the Quebec Association of Broadcasters since 1982. It broadcasts from Monday to Saturday in Pointe-Parent, Natashquan, Michon Island and Aguanish, four villages over a distance of about 35km. CKNA also served the village of Baie-Johan-Beetz from 1985 to 2000. The English-speaking population of Kegaska participates in the “bingo” of CKNA. Local programming is intended to be “MOR” and consists of 35.5 hours/week (Monday to Saturday). She had been associated with CILE-mf de Havre-St-Pierre since 1993 for the presentation of a daily regional newscast. (A round-up of Minganie) A new partnership agreement with the company allowed for the broadcast of three hours of informative programming from Monday to Friday since January 07, 2002. However, technical problems put an end to this possibility in 2005. Since then we broadcast CILE-MF’s regional newscast twice a day.
