In October 2006, Blackgold Broadcasting began the exploration and started the procedure to create and compose the Formal Application to the CRTC to serve the City of Leduc and Leduc County with its first beginning FM Radio station. Following a 2 year holding up period on May second, 2011, Blackgold Broadcasting re-recorded another application with another specialized brief with the CRTC.
